Hello!  My name is Annie, and I have been apart of United Wellness for about 8 months now.  You can find me answering phones, booking appointments, or having a friendly conversation with a patient at the desk :)  I decided to do an introductory blog to give you a bit of background information, and how my journey to a healthy lifestyle began!!  I look forward to posting here, and getting to know you better!

What you don't know CAN hurt you!!!

Changing our own habits can be difficult. When you factor in three kids and a spouse, well, things just got overwhelming!! With so many “right” answers, how do I know what to believe? How can I convince my family to change our lifestyle when its all too comfortable for them?

Like many Americans, my journey started because of an illness. On June 23rd, 2013, I had my first grand-mal seizure. After dozens of tests and different medications, the doctors could not place why I was having seizures. For the next four months, I had seizures every 5 weeks. The doctors were ready to accept I was epileptic, but I was not ready for that realization.

So I started my own research and found my own cure!!!!

While I was in my researching stage, I was given this amazing opportunity to work for a few local chiropractors, who are both health nuts. After a few days of teasing me for my Mountain Dew obsession, I researched my all-time favorite soda. Sadly enough, I had to give up my love for dew, or suffer another grand-mal!

My seizures were from an extreme sinus infection. Over the years, I have developed an allergy or food sensitivity to my favorite beverage. (or what's in it!!) Drinking it makes me sneeze uncontrollably. Luckily, my last grand-mal was October 22nd, 2013!!

My journey started because I was forced to make changes. I couldn't ignore the problem anymore. Now that it has begun, I am super excited to try new foods and different ways to prepare some of my favorite dishes!!

Ignorance is bliss. What you don't know CAN hurt you! I am proof of that!

I love Dr. Aaron as a Doctor and a friend.
He is very professional, and does a good job with adjustments, etc.
He is also very caring, easy to talk to if you have a problem.
